This page is dedicated to my two very, very special friends, Yoko & Jeff, for their wedding, and for the beginning of their new life far from Japan... I wish them a happy life together, and hope that we all folks will keep in touch, and see each other often!
Their wedding party took place the 21st of June 2003, in Daikanyama.
Here are some pictures of Yoko and Jeffrey:

soon : abstract of the presentations will be available...
Although food was excellent - not to mention the wines, we still were hungry in the evening, and headed to an izakaya in Shinjuku. Jeff finally looked a little less stressed!
The whole group together:
After a very nice night in Roppongi, the most courageous people decided to go to Hakone to see the Fujisan, and enjoy some rotenburo. Of course, nobody could seen the montain, which was - as it is usually the case 300 days per year - hidden in the clouds)! The tour started with a cable car, to reach Owakudani, a volcanic cauldron where sulfur vapor are seen... and smelled. There, some kuro tamago - balck eggs - can be eaten. For those who have a strong stomach, that is.
Note that the Swiss really enjoyed the ride in the cable-car - souvenirs du pays!
The Americans definitely preferred the Disney-like pirate boat which cruised on the lake...
The lake is a especially paceful area... when tourists are not too numerous.
And of course, you can't visit Hakone without spending some time in an onsen. There, all notion of time will disappear, which usually means going back to the station by taxi after the last train has left!
And to do it the Japanese way, we directly went to a karaoke in Shinjuku! Interestingly, while Japanese usually prefer to sing, foreigners are more attracted by the drinking... click here for a video (with sound !)
And then, after the karaoke, you directly can take a taxi to Roppongi. Which is conveniently located at 2500 yens from Tsukuji, the famous fish market.
