Grenada
Introduction
Grenada is an island nation in the southeastern Caribbean Sea, located between Venezuela and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The island is known as 'the Spice Isle', and is independent since 1974. Apart of the main island Granada, several smaller islands belong to the same country : Carriacou, Petit Martinique, Ronde Island, Caille Island, Diamond Island, Large Island, Saline Island and Frigate Island, called together the Grenadines. The climate is tropical, with a hot and humid rainy season from June to December. While on the south of the hurricane belt, Grenada suffered extensive damages from hurricane Ivan in 2004.
