We started our tour by a small visit of the most famous hotel in the Hakone
area, the Fujiya hotel, which was founded in 1878 (making it the second-oldest
hotel in Japan). Located in Dagoshima, the hotel looks very much like one of
those old hotels you can find in Europe. It has a small lobby with a cafe.

There is also a very interesting garden around the hotel, with many bonzai.

Of course, you won't be surprised when you will read that our target was an
onsen. This one was really special. Daiyuzan is, in fact, a shrine which boosts
an onsen in his grounds! The inside baths are segregated, but the unique outside
bath is a mixed one, offering a nice view on the valley.

After the bath - and a small "discussion" with the guy working there, which was
quite rude to Hassen and I... until he realized I could answer him in Japanese -
we reached the famous Owakuni area. As usually. But this time we could enjoy
there the sunset.

And a last picture taken from the shore of the lake...

Cryptomeria Avenue: an alley of trees planted more than 360
years ago.
Jean-Pascal taking a picture of a detail of the Hakone-jinja
temple, located next to the lake.
This famous lake is crossed by boats... which are transporting
a lot of tourists!

The most interesting part of Hakone is Owakuni, where sulphur
is expelled from the ground. This site is located near the Soun-zan mountain
(1153 m)... Very impressive.
